Mr. Gonpo Dhundup, President of TYC met with 30 young fellows of the Gurukul Program under the Foundation for Universal Responsibility on 14th June 2022. TYC President spoke on Tibetan Freedom struggles since the annexation of Tibet by China and also talked about the significance of TYC in the history of Tibet’s struggle for independence.

TYC GENERAL SECRETARY MET WITH A GROUP OF STUDENTS FROM MIAO SAMBOTA TIBETAN SCHOOL
On 3rd June 2022, TYC General Secretary Mr. Sonam Tsering la met with a group of students from Miao Sambota Tibetan School (STS), who visited our office under the Tibetan Student’s Educational Tour Program organized by the Lha Charitable Trust. He briefed them about TYC political campaigns and encouraged them to educate themselves to be able to contribute to the Tibetan cause in the near future.

TYC General Secretary Mr. Sonam Tsering welcomed Sam Walton, Chief Executive Officer at the Free Tibet and Tibet Watch along with Wangden Kyab, Tibet Watch Dharamshala Manager who paid a visit to the TYC Office on 12th May 2022. Sonam Tsering talked about TYC and its campaign works and discussed possibilities of collaboration work in the near future to bring the issue of Tibet on the International platform.

On 25th April 2022, TYC President Mr. Gonpo Dhundup addressed the virtual conference organized by the Bharat Tibbat Sahyog Manch to commemorate the 11th Panchen Lama Gedhun Choekyi Nyima’s 33rd Birthday. The virtual conference was also addressed by Shri Pankaj Goyal, Rashtriya Mahamantri, Sr. Arun Srivastava, Historian and Tibet expert, Swami Divyanand J, Rashtriya Upadhyaksh, BTSM.

TYC Vice President Mr. Lobsang Tsering and Joint Secretary Mr. Tsewang Rabgyal met with Professors and Students from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISC) at the TYC Office on 13th April 2022. They briefed them about Tibetan Youth Congress, Tibetan Freedom Movement, and the current critical situation inside Tibet.
TIBETAN NGO’S INTERACTIVE PROGRAM WITH GURU TULKU RINPOCHE, MLA DORJEE WANGDI KARMA AND MLA DONGRU SIONGJU
The renowned spiritual leader of Arunachal Pradesh and former Abbot of Tawang Monastery Guru Tulku Rinpoche, who received a Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian award of the Republic of India, along with MLA Dorjee Wangdi Karma, MLA Dongru Siongju, Madam Sonam Chojom, and Dorjee Wangdi Namsa were warmly received by the Tibetan Youth Congress, Tibetan Women’s Association, National Democratic Party of Tibet and Students for a Free Tibet (India) on 30th March 2022.
High Tea and an interactive Program were organized in the TYC Office. TYC Joint Secretary Mr. Tsewang Rabgyal, Organizational Secretary Mr. Penpa Tsering and Information Secretary Ms. Lhamo extended heartfelt gratitude to Rinpoche for his constant support and involvement in the Tibetan Freedom Movement.

5 NGOS MEETING WITH CZECH DELEGATE
Honorable Jiri Oberfalzer, Vice President of the Czech Senate, accompanied by his Advisor, Secretary of Czech Embassy in New Delhi, Protocol Officer, and Interpreter met with representatives from 5 major Tibetan NGOs on 9th March 2022. The meeting went on for two hours and during the two-hour session, a wide range of topics from the Chinese invasion to the current critical situation inside Tibet was covered.
Mr. Tsewang Rabgyal, TYC Joint Secretary and the representatives from the civil society organizations thanked the Czech Republic government and its people for supporting the Tibetan Freedom Movement and also for diplomatically boycotting Beijing Winter Olympics.
