Archives: Social and Educational

TYC engages in a wide variety of activities aimed at alleviating some of the most urgent social and educational problems. These range from organising broom squads to building public toilets and roads, conducting health education programmes to organising blood donation camps and patients welfare associations, holding adult education classes to starting schools. TYC has been also actively involved in organising various activities and campaigns for protecting the environment for which it was awarded the 1998 Environmental Prize by Green Party of Sweden.

Mobilising people for the freedom struggle by providing information, educational and motivational guidance, training, workshops, and seminars.

Undertaking social welfare activities conforming to the maxim, “Service to the people”, aimed at alleviating some of the most urgent social, cultural and educational problems in our exile community.

Playing the role of pressure group and constructive critical eye for the public vis-a-vis the Tibetan exile Government and the administrative system.
